Napoleon Log Cake (4 ingredients)

Valentine’s day is around the corner, and i got the perfect dessert for you! This recipe is one of the easiest and quickest cakes i have ever made! Its delicious, sweet, and soft but still has a slight crunch to it!

Ingredients

  • Puff Pastry Sheets ( 17.3 oz package), thawed in the fridge
  • 8 oz cool whip, thawed
  • 14 oz dulce de leche cooked
  • 8 oz cream cheese, room temp

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cut puff pastry into long thin slices. ( I ended up with 18-20 from each puff pastry sheet). Place them on a baking pan.
  3. Bake at 350 for 14 minutes, or until golden brown. Let the logs cool to room temperature.
  4. Mix cream cheese and dulce de leche until smooth. Add cool whip and mix well again.
  5. To assemble the cake. Add a generous amount of cream to the bottom of your rectangle serving plate.
  6. Add logs side by side and add a generous amount of the cream. (Be very generous! you want to use all of the cream for this cake)
  7. Stack more puff pastry logs on top and repeat. (I ended up with 4 layers total and about 7-8 logs per each layer)
  8. Add cream to the sides and around the cake.
  9. Wrap your cake and refrigerate it overnight before serving. Note: Cake will be soft but will still have a slight crunch to it.
