Cheesy Crab Melts Appetizer

Crab melts are an easy but delicious appetizer with a creamy, cheesy crab and corn mixture that’s baked onto slices of French bread. Everyone will go crazy for these! Perfect for brunch or your next party!

Ingredients

  • 1 French baguette – (20-25 slices) 
  • 8 oz Imitation Crab
  • 1 cup sweet Corn  
  • 1/3 cup scallions chopped 
  • 6 Tbsp Mayo
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced 
  • 1 cup shredded Cheese +more to top 
  • Salt & Pepper per taste
  • Optional- 1 lb small peeled and deveined Shrimp to top or add into mix 

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Slice the baguette.
  3. Dice the crab and add to large.
  4. Chop the scallions, add to bowl.
  5. Add minced garlic, shredded cheese and mayo
  6. If using shrimp- chop and add to mix.
  7. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  8. Mix well and spread over baguette pieces.
  9. Top with a shrimp (optional) and season the shrimp lightly. Top with more cheese.
  10. Bake 10-12 minutes. Serve right away!
