These Fried Egg Rolls are crunchy on the outside with a delicious mix of juicy meat and sautéed veggies in the inside. Dipping into sweet chili sauce is a must with these!
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken, pork or beef
- 14 oz Coleslaw mix
- 1 small yellow onion thinly sliced
- 20-25 Egg roll wrappers
- Oil for frying
- Salt & Pepper per taste
- Sweet Chili Sauce ( highly recommend) and or soy sauce
- Optional- add sesami oil and fish sauce into the mixture if you want a more Asian flavor
Instructions
- On low- medium heat add 2 Tbsp oil to a frying pan.
- Add thinly sliced onions and coleslaw mix. Mix well and sauté until onions almost soft.
- Add ground meat, mix well and sauté until just light pink. Season with salt & pepper per taste.
- Remove from heat and let mixture cook slightly.
- Add a heaping tbsp of the meat mixture to the center of each egg roll wrapper.
- Roll them up tightly and brush a little water on the top corner to help it stick and seal the egg roll.
- Heat up a skillet with oil on low heat and fry egg rolls about 1-2 minutes per side or until golden.
- Place on paper towel to absorb the oils. Enjoy right away with sweet chili sauce or soy sauce!
